Update regarding pathology tests

You may have seen media reports relating to pathology tests (bloods, urine etc.) which GP practices carry out and are processed in labs at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Following an issue with an IT system upgrade, there were some delays to GP practices receiving the results for tests that were taken and sent to the labs between 29 July and 13 August.

All results have now been processed and are available in a format that practices can view.

You may find this unsettling if you had tests carried out around this time but please be assured that all urgent abnormal results have now been reported. Your practice will be in touch in the usual ways if they wish to discuss results with you further.

If your symptoms worsen or you are concerned, please follow the usual care routes by contacting the practice or use NHS 111. In an emergency call 999.

Healthwatch Norfolk- Experiences of Rehabilitation in Norfolk’s Community Hospitals Survey

Healthwatch Norfolk is the independent voice for patients, service users and Carers in the county. We use feedback from people to shape the future of local health and care services.

What is this survey about?

Healthwatch Norfolk is working with Norfolk Community Health and Care (NCHC) NHS Trust to review their general rehabilitation service in community hospitals across Norfolk. We want to hear from patients, their relatives and carers, about their experiences, including:

  • The ward environment,
  • The quality of the nursing care and therapy
  • Planning to leave the community hospital and
  • Care after leaving hospital.

Your feedback will help us understand what is working well and where improvements are needed, so the rehabilitation service can better meet the needs of the people who use it.
