Saturday Surgery

Appointments are available to be pre-booked with a doctor or nurse on selected Saturday mornings – usually, but not always, on alternate Saturdays. Whilst the appointments are open to all, they have primarily been designed to help those patients who find it difficult to get to the surgery during our normal weekday opening hours.

Please note that telephone lines and the reception desk will remain closed on Saturdays to all patients other than those who have a booked appointment.

(We do not routinely offer blood test appointments on Saturdays as there is no hospital collection service from the surgery at weekends. However, patients are able to drop off their blood sample themselves at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital if they have restrictive work commitments which mean they can only attend surgery for a blood test on a Saturday).

Out of Hours Service

Between 18:30 and 08:00, Monday to Friday, all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays your call will be redirected to the NHS 111 service.

Emergencies

In a genuine emergency you should call 112 and ask for an ambulance. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute as an emergency.
